    Rating Shield™ Subscription Terms & Conditions

    Welcome to Rating Shield™, a subscription service provided by EasyVAClaims (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Company”). These Subscription Terms & Conditions (“Subscription Terms”) govern your subscription to and use of the Rating Shield™ service. By subscribing to Rating Shield™, you agree to be bound by these Subscription Terms in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between these Subscription Terms and the general Terms of Service, these Subscription Terms shall control with respect to the Rating Shield™ service.

    Please read these terms carefully before subscribing. We have written them in plain language because we believe you deserve to understand what you are agreeing to.

    1. What Rating Shield™ Is

    Rating Shield™ is an educational monitoring and alert software service designed to help veterans stay informed about changes to VA disability rating regulations and maintain strong medical records. Your subscription includes:

    Medical Record TemplatesWe provide periodic templates designed to help you document your current symptoms through the VA Secure Messaging portal. These templates are educational aids to help you create your own medical record entries.
    Protection Milestone TrackerYour subscriber dashboard displays when each of your rated conditions reaches the 5-year, 10-year, and 20-year protection thresholds established under 38 C.F.R. § 3.344 and 38 C.F.R. § 3.951.
    Defense GuideIf the VA proposes a reduction to one of your ratings, we provide an educational guide explaining the procedural requirements the VA must follow under federal law, along with response templates you may use as a starting point for your own response.

    2. What Rating Shield™ Is Not

    This section is critically important. By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree to each of the following:

    Rating Shield™ is not legal advice. The information, alerts, templates, and guides we provide are educational resources. They are not a substitute for the advice of a qualified attorney. If the VA proposes a reduction to your rating, we strongly recommend consulting an accredited VA attorney or your local Veterans Service Organization (VSO).

    EasyVAClaims is not an accredited VA claims agent, attorney, or representative. We are a technology company. We do not prepare, present, or prosecute claims before the Department of Veterans Affairs on your behalf. We are not accredited under 38 C.F.R. § 14.629, and nothing in these Terms or in our service creates an attorney-client, representative-claimant, or fiduciary relationship between you and EasyVAClaims.

    Rating Shield™ is not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are an independent company. We are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any other government agency.

    Rating Shield™ does not guarantee any outcome. We make no promise, representation, or warranty — express or implied — that our service will prevent a rating reduction, result in a rating increase, or produce any specific outcome with respect to your VA benefits. Your results depend on your individual circumstances, the strength of your medical evidence, and the decisions of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

    Rating Shield™ does not access VA systems on your behalf. We never log into VA.gov, eBenefits, or any other VA portal using your credentials. We do not submit, upload, or transmit any documents to the VA on your behalf. You are always the one who decides what to submit and when.

    3. Subscription Plans and Pricing

    3.1 Available Plans

    Rating Shield™ is offered as a recurring subscription with two billing options:

    3.2 Flat-Fee Pricing

    All Rating Shield™ subscription fees are flat fees for access to our educational software platform. Your subscription fee is not contingent on the outcome of any VA claim, rating decision, or benefit amount. You will never owe us a percentage of your VA disability compensation or any additional fee based on a change to your rating.

    3.3 No Hidden Fees

    The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. There are no setup fees, processing fees, or hidden charges. Applicable sales tax may apply based on your jurisdiction.

    3.4 Price Changes

    We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If we increase the price of your plan, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the new price takes effect. You may cancel your subscription before the new price applies. If you do not cancel, your continued subscription constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

    4. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation

    4.1 Automatic Renewal Disclosure

    Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) at the then-current subscription rate, unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file for each renewal period.

    For annual subscriptions, we will send you a reminder email at least 15 days before your annual renewal date.

    4.2 How to Cancel

    You may cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, using any of the following methods:

    1. Self-Service (Recommended): Log into your account, navigate to your Rating Shield™ dashboard, and click “Manage Subscription” to cancel immediately.
    2. Email: Send a cancellation request to support@easyvaclaims.com with the subject line “Cancel Rating Shield.”
    3. Chat: Use the in-app chat feature to request cancellation.

    We do not require you to call a phone number, send a letter, or complete any other burdensome process to cancel. Cancellation should be as easy as subscribing.

    4.3 Effect of Cancellation

    When you cancel, your subscription remains active through the end of your current paid billing period. You will not be charged for any subsequent billing period. After your current period ends, you will lose access to Rating Shield™ subscriber features, including alerts, templates, and the defense guide.

    4.4 No Trailing Obligations

    Once you cancel, you owe us nothing further. There are no cancellation fees, early termination penalties, or post-cancellation payment obligations of any kind. Your cancellation is clean and final.

    5. Refund Policy

    5.1 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

    If you are not satisfied with Rating Shield™ for any reason, you may request a full refund of your most recent subscription payment within 30 days of the charge date. No questions asked.

    5.2 How to Request a Refund

    Email support@easyvaclaims.com with the subject line “Refund Request” and include your account email address. We will process your refund within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.

    5.3 Limitation

    The 30-day satisfaction guarantee may be used once per customer. Refund requests submitted more than 30 days after the most recent charge are not eligible.

    6. Your Responsibilities

    You are in control of your claim. You make all decisions about your VA disability claim, including whether to file, respond, appeal, or take any other action. We provide information and tools; you decide what to do with them.

    You are the author of your documents. Any messages, letters, or documents you create using our templates are your own work product. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy of any document before you use it. We provide a starting point; you make it yours.

    You submit everything yourself. We do not file, submit, upload, or transmit any document to the VA or any other party on your behalf. You are responsible for all submissions.

    You provide accurate information. The quality of our alerts and analysis depends on the accuracy of the conditions you enter into your dashboard. You are responsible for keeping your condition list current.

    7. Data and Privacy

    7.1 What We Collect

    To provide Rating Shield™, we collect and store the conditions you choose to monitor, your subscription status, and your contact information for alerts. We do not collect or store your Social Security Number, VA file number, or VA login credentials through the Rating Shield™ service.

    7.2 How We Use Your Data

    Your condition data is used solely to personalize your regulatory alerts and milestone tracking. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

    7.3 Data Retention After Cancellation

    If you cancel your subscription, we retain your account data for 90 days in case you choose to resubscribe. After 90 days, your condition data and alert history are permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion at any time by emailing support@easyvaclaims.com.

    8. Intellectual Property

    The Rating Shield™ name, logo, software, templates, guides, alert content, and all associated materials are the intellectual property of EasyVAClaims and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these materials for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with your own VA disability claim.

    You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly display any Rating Shield™ content without our prior written consent.

    9. Disclaimer of Warranties

    Rating Shield™ is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyVAClaims disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

    We do not warrant that: (a) the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) our regulatory monitoring will capture every relevant change; (c) our alerts or analysis will be complete, accurate, or timely in every instance; or (d) the service will produce any particular result.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyVAClaims shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of VA benefits, loss of rating, loss of income, or emotional distress, arising from or related to your use of Rating Shield™.

    Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or related to your Rating Shield™ subscription shall not exceed the total amount you actually paid to us for the Rating Shield™ service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

    11. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

    11.1 Informal Resolution First

    Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to contact us at support@easyvaclaims.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

    11.2 Binding Arbitration

    If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you and EasyVAClaims agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Subscription Terms or the Rating Shield™ service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language in the State of Florida.

    11.3 Class Action Waiver

    You and EasyVAClaims agree that each party may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.

    11.4 Small Claims Exception

    Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits.

    12. Governing Law

    These Subscription Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

    13. Modifications to These Terms

    We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Rating Shield™ after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.

    14. Severability

    If any provision of these Subscription Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

    15. Entire Agreement

    These Subscription Terms, together with our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EasyVAClaims with respect to the Rating Shield™ service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
